Day 34

A Lovely Valentines Day

Honeybun and I had discussed a few weeks ago that we'd like to keep Valentines Day simple. No presents. No reservations. Just us spending time together without the pressure of trying to do something "brag worthy" and burning holes in our pockets.

That morning I made Honeybun coffee and breakfast. Eggs in a Nest - His favorite. It's a simple breakfast. Just a piece of bread with a hole cut in the middle, toasted in a buttered pan with an egg frying in the center hole with some seasonings on top. Easy, plain, but his favorite nonetheless. I made sure to make the holes heart-shaped, and he got a good chuckle out of it as he ate three of them.

That evening, when I got home, I was greeted by the smell of Honeybun making burgers. The man is an amazing cook, and the place smelled heavenly. He stepped away from the patties for a moment to greet me with a cheeky grin, a passionate kiss, and a glass of wine that he slipped into my hand. We watched comedies while we ate. Then later we retired to the bedroom for some wild lovin.

It was such a lovely evening with no stress!
