Day 776

Ellis

Sunny surfaced today having disappeared for three nights. Two nights he was here holed up with his new girlfriend, Ellis. And yesterday he was at G’s. Ellis is short, fat and has lots of curly hair, a big body, big opinions, she's very confident, big glasses, big hooped earrings. There is nothing delicate, graceful or feminine about her, apart from her big boobs. She stayed in bed until past midday and then got up in her ‘PJs’ and went onto the terrace to have a smoke. Then back to bed for the afternoon. They spilt red wine over the sheets, pillow, mattress protector, bodily fluids stained the mattress. I cleaned it all up and emptied the bulging dustbin, took away all the crockery and broken glass, the unfishinshed bottles of wine and beer. Wow. Oh Wow. Peachy said I should have left it. It wouldn’t have made any difference. I’d only have had to clear it up on Saturday when he leaves.

He asked me what I thought of Ellis when he got back today. That surprised me that he wanted to know. I said, ‘She’s very nice.’ He asked for more. I said, ‘It doesn’t matter what I think.'

What is it they say, "discretion is the better part of valor?" I remember my eldest had an awful boyfriend whom I knew was a total piece of turd; eventually, she "woke up" and got rid of him. Who knows where Ellis will end up?

I definitely think there is no point in saying anything bad because it will just make Sunny more determined to carry on. They are young. This is his time of revelry and I get what attracts him to her - exactly what I don't like about her he finds alluring. I trust to time.

I wonder how/if Sunny is not extremely embarrassed that you cleaned up such a mess for him. Especially the bedding. If he can make such adult choices and adult messes, surely he can be adult enough to clean them? I couldn't imagine Honeybun's or my mother cleaning up our "adult choices" on the bedding. When we both lived with our parents, we covered everything in towels and cleaned everything up in a discreet hurry. They didn't need to be thinking about what we'd been doing - let alone cleaning up after it. That would have been mortifying to me. I don't know if I'd ever be able to look his or my mother in the eyes again. LOL!

I agree Otter - it is stunning and I would never have behaved like that either. I have talked to him about it now and he has assured me he won't leave the room in that state again. Here's hoping.
