Hey there, Me!
I've completed my second week of yoga, and I'm already noticing the small changes. My hamstrings are still tight as a bowstring, but in only 2 weeks I've noticed myself able to stretch a little farther than when I started. The biggest change has been a mental one: When I'm in class, I feel so different. In that hour, I'm not thinking of things that my parents, Honeybun, my friends, or my coworkers need from me. I'm not a daughter, a girlfriend, a friend or admin-assistant. In that hour I am solely focused on serving me, and I'm a bit emotional about it every time
If feels similar to a visit from someone you love dearly but haven't seen or spoken to in years. You feel that familiarity, and you want to hold them close and know exactly how they've been and what they've been up to all this time. I get to sit with myself and have conversations I've needed to have. How am I doing, really? What's been slumbering in my subconscious, waiting patiently for me to visit and discuss? Is life going the way I want?
I'm ready to start building a bum though. ;) LOL. Patience is key.
