If laughter is the best medicine, this show is heroin....
Okay, nothing down today: if there's one thing that's pulled me through the bullshit of the last few months, it's been laughter. When Sonny and I went out to the cemetery to visit the family on that cold, wet afternoon, his joke left me in stitches.
I think the hormone therapy has also done something so that I laugh harder now than I have in a long time.... not only harder, but loud and my eyes tear up.
The most reliable way to get me to laugh? Let me watch an episode of "Impractical Jokers." If you haven't seen it, watch the video above, and tell me you can't let out a good belly laugh at what is going on here.
I know, I know, it's the stupidest humor imaginable, maybe on the level of the Three Stooges, but it is just soooooo damned funny. On Tuesday evening I came home tired and broken; my bones were aching, my brain was shot. After a hot bath with salts, I sat and watched their YouTube shorts for the next hour. I couldn't stop laughing.
I wonder what my neighbors must think. If there is one upside to all this medication, it's the unbridled laughter.
