Up for some, down for another... even steven?
so while my week has been going pretty well (my sciatica has been releasing it's grip, and I am walking better and sleep is improving.)
But because the universe exhibits some kind of tendency for balance, this good thing is being counterbalanced by other "not so good" things.
The "Not-So-Good" - Poor NewGal has been commuting from BK to lovely Cleveland, because her dad is very ill. This morning I drove her to the airport for what may be the last time she sees her dad.
Then I get a call from DykeFriend who is 72 years old. Her friend and main physician said she should "socially distance" herself as she has had coronary and respiratory issues in the past few years. She's devastated, as she leads a very social life. She also asked if I would come over and fix her exercise bike, to which I refused. I'm handy, but I don't repair other people's crap in case I make it worse....
Oh, and I've lost about $150,000 on my stock portfolio in the past week.
The Good: I'm feeling much better, my daughter was offered a very interesting job, and my son is very happy in college. That's enough for me.
