End of the week
It has been a surprisingly tough few weeks work-wise.
My colleague and friend has had to take time off to look after her husband after his operation for a serious infection, and he is due a further operation next week. She has reduced her hours and I know that when she is in at work her mind is often with him.
So more of our client interactions come to me instead, as well as more of the administration.
We have a new manager who is supposed to be coordinating the service and taking it forward. She is younger than us, and sharp and ambitious, I think she would like to cull the two of us!
Changes at the hospital, with a new centre opening, meant that G, who has just returned from holiday, needed an outpouring about her new manager.
After a frantic day of tidying up loose ends has left me tired and thankful for a Friday evening and a week off. We are off to Florence for a few days break and a rest, a chance to leave the cares and worries behind for a bit.
