Day 625

Extraordinary and sad news

This morning G(cousin) rang to tell me that N(cousin) had died yesterday. Incredible. N was 51 and having fun in the Caribbean. This wasn’t supposed to happen. When G said, ‘You better sit down. I have some very bad family news’ I thought he was going to tell me that D (he's diabetes) had died, or F, not N. I still can’t
believe it 12 hours later. I’m very sad for N and M. They had such a great life. They were so lucky " extremely wealthy and totally in love, they enjoyed themselves blissing around the world.

He had gone off snorkelling on his own. M and her sister were chatting on the beach. After a long time M wondered what had become of him. Her sister went to look. She found him dead, washed up on the beach. No idea how it happened " was it a stroke, heart attack, was he stung by a poisonous fish? We’ll only know when he’s had an autopsy. He was hugely obese. He looked like he was about to pop. My immediate thought was that his obesity brought this on " his heart just gave up.

Oh my goodness! I'm terribly sorry for your loss, George. That must have been such a shock and so painful for M and her sister to find him that way - I can't even imagine. Much love to you all, and I hope you get answers soon.

Thank you Otter. Yes, such a very very strange day. He's been in my thoughts all the time. His mother lost her husband only recently, and now her son - very terrible. I liked him very much but didn't see much of him because he lived in America. Will be interesting to find out what exactly happened. xxx
