Day 112

Would you visit your mother after she treated you horribly?

Dad & brother voted for Trump. Mother has indicated in the past that my sexuality is embarrassing for her, and "the bible says it's wrong."

Why would I visit any of them again?

Would you allow the meanest, most selfish, inconsiderate bigots you've ever met in your life in your home?

Every single person I've met in my life has treated me better than my immediate family. I wanted to run away at age 9. The pain of how awful they've been to me makes me wish they were all dead.

My mother wants to visit me. I'm ready to tell her never mind, please do not visit me.

You're correct; your mother should not, under any circumstances, visit you again. And until she apologizes and accepts you 100% for who you are, you have every right to cut her out of your life completely, along with the other small minded bigots that may be part of your family.

Thank you. I completely agree, but of course toxic bigots always do their best in making others feel guilty and indebted to them with a salt-shaking of demanded respect as well. I don't really enjoy life anymore because of how bad it has been. Sad I know, but I'm ready to crawl in a grave now. I needed therapy at 7 years old and never got it. Oh well, sad world. It is what it is, but thank you for your wonderful reply. I needed to hear exactly that.
