Day 89

Plans

Thank goodness work is slow today. My head is pounding from too much thinking about every single weekend from now until January. Four birthdays to plan, baby shower to attend 4 hours away from home, moving to our new apartment, a Team Hope Walk to fundraise for Huntington's Disease research, camping trip with Honeybun's brother, a friend's bakery grand opening, and Honeybun's trial on top of the holidays. It helped to write it all down in a list to get it all out of my head so I wouldn't go crazy. They're in chronological order so I know which to prepare for next - one (or three) at a time.

Today's goal is to contact the moving company and schedule a date/time for them to move most of our crap, make a decision on a storage facility for our excess items (we are losing about 600 sq ft of space), and kick Honeybun in the rear to ACTUALLY START PACKING.

"But there isn't much to pack"

Yeah, sure man. lmao

He also needs to buy a birthday gift for his little nephew for this weekend.

I still need to plan for my Dad's birthday this weekend too... Never ends. lol

I love that you write out lists of things to do, I do the exact same thing. It helps massively to see things phsyically in front of you.
I wish you all the luck in the world with your move and all those busy weekends - it sure sounds like you have a busy life! You will get through it though. Take those reins and make things go the way you want them to xxx

Interesting. It looks like Pencourage took the first sentence of my response but didn't post the rest? How odd. Anyway, I'm realizing I've become a people pleaser and need to learn how to take care of myself too... it feels so selfish though.

I know it does, I get that selfish feeling on a daily basis when I have to choose myself before others. Only recently have I learnt that you are stuck inside your own head and your skin for your entire life, you must take care of yourself first, because you are your first priority. It might be selfish to others, but in the bigger picture of things, you are taking care of the one person you'll be with your entire life - yourself
