kissing, part III

.... we had a quick drink sitting outside on 6th avenue, it was a warm summer evening, and you had to walk 1 block north and I had to walk 1 block south. Your eyes bugged open wide....

.... I was dropping you off at the youth hostel just after we saw "Fitzcarraldo" in Cambridge, England. We had just met that morning, and visited the village you grew up. I told you I would see you the next day and.....

.... I had gotten fired that afternoon and was ecstatic. You showed up at the bar, and even though I was walking with a crutch (I had hurt my knee bicycle riding that summer), you reached over and put your hand on my back.....

..... we had a drink at a bar in Chelsea, and I walked you to the subway: you were going uptown, me to Brooklyn. We said goodnight....

....you were tall and dark, with tight little dreads that framed your beautiful face. We got a coffee at Starbucks, talked, and as I helped you maneuver over a snow bank.....

.... we went to see an exhibit at the Whitney. I brought a little pad of paper so we could communicate.....
