A true day of rest; all on my own.
The photo above shows some random thoughts I had about what was going on with my help. It was written during Shabbat services, when we were saying a prayer for healing...
'ָּרוּךְ אַתָּ" יי, רוֹפֵא כָל 'ָּשָ,ר וּמַפְלִיא לַעֲש,וֹת
My translation would be this: "Blessings to those who help us heal, and to the miracle that is healing."
Today was my time "away" - I did no chores, nor personal acts that I might feel obligated to do. So I did not shave, despite the fact that my face is feeling uncomfortable. I did not shower, because I did not want to.
I drank my coffee with heavy cream; later on in the afternoon, I made a rich hot chocolate with valrhona chocolate and a touch of cayenne, yes, with whole milk, heavy cream and a dash of brown sugar.
I took a long walk in Prospect Park today, made possible by the healing of a fractured knee. It was a warm fall afternoon, and I found osage oranges floating in the lake.
I ate pad thai for lunch, and made shrimp squash curry for dinner. I played guitar, read a book and found time to masturbate.
That was my very, very alone day.
