Day 32

False Beliefs - 1

Every now, - and again -, I hear people say things that betray that they are thinking, and thereby acting, under a false belief. It's no use telling them because beliefs take ages to change, and in the meantime it only causes friction. So I'll expound them here.

"I'm 30/('teen)/(40)/(50)/(60)/(70)/(80)/(90)/(100) and I know all I need to know from now on, (thank-you)".

False.

Anyone have other examples?

    Gosh! Too many false beliefs:
    * My preferred political party has all the answers.
    * My religion has all the answers.
    * Vaccines are bad for you (thank you, Dr Wakeman)
    * Detoxing will solve all my problems
    * A new relationship will fix all my problems.
    * Homeopathy really works.
    * Praying for the injured / poor / needy on its own will help them.

    "Which of those do you have?"
    Happily none of them, though I flirted with "A new relationship will fix all my problems." for awhile.
