Day 81

Figuring Things Out

Last night was awful. We'd planned to meet my best-friend for my birthday dinner, but when I got home from work, Honeybun had an outburst. He was angry about /everything/ - work, my parents, himself, humanity as a whole. It all came out like word-vomit and I couldn't keep track of his rant. I'd started crying and obviously didn't want to go to my birthday dinner at this point. He started packing a bag, saying he was going to live with his parents, give me his furniture ("Because you're innocent"), end our relationship and go to school because it would be "better" for me if he left. Then he suddenly shifts and says he's taking me to this dinner first. I tried to get out of it, but relented because I thought going-along would calm him down.

At the restaurant his mood lifted, and when we got home, Bear was there. The two of them stayed up until 3 AM drinking shots and playing Scrabble.

Today I texted his best-friend what happened and asked him to call Honeybun. They've been friends for 20 years - maybe he'll get him to talk. He agreed something must be really wrong. Honeybun needs a therapist.
