It rained all night
It rained all night, last night. This morning the world was fresh, smelling of negative ions. The sheen of wet glistened silver in the dull dawn. Cold too. I saw two shiny cats sitting on the terrace. They loped off, nonchalant, avoiding the puddles.
It rained all night. I didn’t hear a drop. Fresh air full of grass and flowers floated through the room, turning in the darkness. I slept more soundly than I had in weeks.
